Uranium North Identifies High Priority Target on Carswell Property in Athabasca Basin

 Vancouver, November 28, 2007 --Uranium North Resources Corp (UNR -- TSX-V) announces that trace element and clay alteration patterns often associated with unconformity uranium deposits elsewhere in the Athabasca Basin have been identified in composite boulder samples from the west portion of the 100% owned Carswell East property in Saskatchewan. These anomalous zones are variably coincident with airborne EM conductors and uranium anomalies from regional airborne radiometric data.

A total of 665 composite boulder samples were collected mainly on the western side of the property. Samples were collected every hundred metres along 19 lines with each line approximately 2 kilometres apart. The samples were analyzed for trace elements to detect alteration halos that may be associated with uranium mineralization. A typical alteration halo associated with unconformity uranium deposits in the Athabasca Basin comprises anomalous levels of uranium and elevated contents of certain clay species, particularly illite.

The trace element data for the samples indicates uranium concentrations varying from 0.05 to 1.24 ppm. Twenty of the samples are considered anomalous with values greater than 0.15 ppm uranium. Most of the anomalous values form a distinct grouping that is coincident with an airborne uranium radiometric anomaly.

The total clay content of the samples from the property varies from 0.072% to 12.6%. Fifteen of the samples exceed an anomalous threshold of 5% total clay. Illite to illite plus kaolinite ratios varied from 6.3% to 100% with a median of 84%. Ratios in excess of 60% are generally considered significant in the eastern Athabasca. The Uranium North clay data outlines a significant and widespread clay alteration (illitization) zone that requires exploration follow up.

A strong 7.5 kilometre long electromagnetic conductor, named here the East Rim Conductor, was identified from the 2007 MEGATEM survey and trends in a north-northeast direction across the northwest side of the property. It is coincident with the East Rim Fault, a prominent basin-scale fault flanking a magnetic high. This conductor is interpreted to be caused by both a near-surface clay altered fault, and a deeper clay altered zone and/or basement hosted graphite.

The East Rim Conductor is coincident with a historical airborne uranium anomaly* proximal to a geochemical uranium anomaly from boulder samples, taken during 2007 fieldwork. This conductor is ranked as a high priority target for ground Audio Magnetotelluric and ground Resisitivity to verify presence of clay alteration halos and/or graphite basement conductors which could be related to uranium mineralization. Permitting for 2008 groundwork and drilling is underway.

The Carswell East block straddles the eastern portion of the uranium-bearing Carswell Structure. The past-producing Cluff Lake Mine is located within this structure and is approximately 20 kilometres west of the property. The Shea Creek property owned by Areva and UEX where recent drill core assays of 27.4% and 12.57% U3O8 over 8.8 and 11.9 metres respectively have been reported, is approximately 20 kilometres southwest of the property.

W.E. Brereton (P.Eng.) and J.S. Brett (P.Geo.) of MPH Consulting Limited are Uranium North's qualified persons responsible for the design and interpretation of the geochemical and geophysical programs respectively.

All samples were analyzed at Saskatchewan Research Council employing their standard ICP MS multi element sandstone package. Certain of the elements, e.g. boron, are then subjected to the SRC's Normative Clay Mineralogy calculation to identify the various clay species. Uranium results are based on a partial hydrochloric/nitric acid digestion on 2 g pulps.
